love affair & the 3 cutest boys ever!

A little over a week ago, I came home from the final Love Affair Workshop. It was probably one of the most physically and emotionally draining things I’ve done. 60 women with the same passion in one room for 4 days… exhausting but encouraging! After a few weeks of chewing over the nuggets those 4 amazing women gave me… I have decided this venture was a good investment. The changes that will soon be coming to this business will hopefully be evident and appreciated by my loyal clients as well as the new families I hope to bring into my circle of friends! Davina Fear was truly inspiring and one thing is certain… Kelly Moore sure knows how to dance!

We were able to go on a little photoshoot during the workshop, and lucky me! I got probably the most adorable family ever. These 3 boys were awesome! And their gorgeous parents were up for anything! Thanks guys for letting 5 photographers direct you and pretty much act like paparazzi!!!

rebekah - second one down is my FAVE, hands down!!!!! would look AMAZING in a large canvas!!!!

How’d I miss this one?!

A day or so after I’ve shot a wedding, I look through images from the hours of family, friends, and celebration for a few favorites I want to blog. The absolute first thing I do is immediately take out every picture my wonderful husband takes of me. Why he thinks it’s hilarious to take awful pictures of me, I don’t know! Oh the pictures he’s taken since we’ve been married. Boring car rides to Austin, late night – sleep deprived craziness, dentist appointments (that one was immediately deleted by me)! And randomly I’ll pick up his phone to find my “attempted hairstyle photo” as his wallpaper. Really?! Who knows who’s actually seen that one! Sometimes the iPhone isn’t really convenient for me!

As for the wedding pictures, if any of me accidentally made it to a final disc, I would be mortified. If you’re one of my former brides, and you just happened to get one or two… please don’t tell me! I’m completely fine believing no one else has ever seen those!! After those are TRASHED, my favorites almost immediately jump out at me. They get blogged, and at a later point I will actually cull through the rest. Every now and then I’ll spot a picture that I can’t believe I missed the first time around. Here’s one of them… Maegan, you’re beautiful!

a smile?!

This little girl is the sweetest thing. She loves her mama, loves her jewelry, and LOVES her lipgloss. I’ve had many sessions with her before, and about halfway through could crack maybe one or two smiles from her. This day was a different story. She did not want her picture taken, and there was no convincing her. Lipgloss didn’t work, ice cream didn’t work, the balloon didn’t work! Mama, I don’t know what you said to her on the way to our 2nd location… but that worked!! She jumped out of the car and started posing and smiling… I almost fell over from shock! A smile?! For me and my camera? Thank you, beautiful girl!

prepare yourself…

… for the cutest little dude you’ve ever seen.

oh. my. goodness.

Possibly one of my favorite sessions ever. Mom & Dad had fun with each other, were up for anything, and I already told you their little man is beyond cute!! You’d never know it was crazy hot, and we were all sweating like pigs! Thanks so much for choosing me to capture your adorable family. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I’ve already warned Mom she’ll be shamelessly displayed in the boutique!!!
