Miss Quinn…

… the happiest little girl I think I’ve ever met. She laughed at me, smiled non stop, and even gave me hugs!!! LOVE her!

Pinkletoes Workshop – Day 2

The second day started so stinkin early. We were seriously up and out the door, ready to shoot by 7am. I must admit, it was pretty nice to have so much accomplished by 10am. Most of the morning I walked around and watched other people shoot. It’s so interesting to see other photographers interact with people and set up their shots. If it were up to me, I’d tag along with other photographers more often! So while everyone else was busy posing and shooting, I was playing with my camera. I don’t get much time to do that. Usually when I have my camera out, it’s for a purpose… a shoot, a school event, or whatever else. You’d think being a mom of two precious baby girls I’d have eager and willing participants most of the time. I wish! My kids are probably the worst at getting their picture taken. The time at this workshop was so amazing for me. I played with lighting, angles, lenses, and really tried to challenge myself to do something different. And we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backdrop that day! Austin had the most ridiculous wildflowers this year. It puts my bluebonnet patch to shame! Fields of yellow flowers up to your waist… gorgeous.

Pinkletoes Workshop – Day 1

A little over a month ago I was able to go to a Pinkletoes Workshop. I’ve been following Michele since I started photography and have been a part of her forum, PT4P, for about 3 years. To be able to go into her home, watch her work, and learn from her was so amazing. Seriously, who lets a bunch of strangers take over their house and studio for 3 days?! Michele does. And that’s why she’s awesome. For all my photographer friends, if Michele ever decides to offer this workshop again, you should definitely try to go!

After a half day of getting to know each other, talking, and cramming in as much information as we could… we started the next morning with some in home sessions. Here’s a few of my favorites that I took that day.

Jamie - Dang it we are going to have to have another baby now so u can do newborn shots! Looks amazing!!

If only…

If only baby Hanna would’ve waited 2 more days!! I tried my hardest to get these pictures up before she came… but apparently she didn’t get the memo! I don’t blame her. If my big sister was as sweet and cute as Miss Lauren, I’d want to hurry up and meet her too! Congratulations to this fun and beautiful family!!

Melissa Willson Chase - Do you know how many times I’ve read this blog post? I always seem to find it in my pictures on FB and go back to it. Your work is amazing, and you captured Lauren’s personality so perfectly! Can’t wait to work with you again!
