I’m not kidding when I say I’ve owned 5 strollers. And just to remind you, my kids are 3 and 15 months. Of course we purchased the stroller that matched the car seat and the pack n’ play, and I used that for awhile. Then I realized just how obnoxiously big it was, so we moved on to an umbrella type stroller. It was definitely smaller and convenient, but such a hassle to push around. The wheels on those things are a joke. That one was short lived. So on we went to the jogger. This one was pretty cool cause it served a different purpose AND had speakers so I could jam out to my ipod. Uh, yeah, I said jam… and if you know me, you know it was more like a high pitched, sing songy “jaaaaaaam”. I’m laughing at myself right now because I just realized that all of those strollers were mine before I even had a second kid. Wow. So, second kid…. I need a two seater. We got a double BOB and pushed the girls in that for about a year. I love that stroller, I really do. Here’s the only problem I have with it… people stare. Some would run to grab the door for me, because I must have looked like I desperately needed help. I’d smile and tell them I was fine, it’ll fit through that door… but their faces always scrunched up and they held their breath while I pushed through. I just barely fit through every door. Just. Barely. I’d have to check and make sure little hands were inside the stroller, avoiding any smashed fingers and potential meltdowns. And shopping in a department store, forget it. Weaving in and out of the clothes racks was too much for my oldest… more times than I can count, she’d pull a few dresses into the stroller with her. Okay, all that to say… I love my BOB. I still have it and it’s awesome for jogging. But it wasn’t the perfect stroller.
When looking for a stroller to carry in the boutique, Aaron and I did lots of research. We wanted to find something that was ranked high in safety and had a high approval rating. We tried lots of different strollers from the ABC Kids Show, and one just could not be topped. The UPPAbaby! It moved so easy (no picking it up and shimmying to make it turn right – you know what I’m talking about!). It made turns easily with one hand. It’s functionality was crazy smart. Bassinet for when they are a newborn, coordinating connecter bars to fit any car seat, a seat when they get a little older that faces forward or backward, a piggy back (skateboard) for an older child, the option of a rumble seat for a third kid, and a really big basket for my stuff. So not only is all that stuff amazing, this company also thought of a way to use the bassinet outside of the stroller. You can purchase a stand to hold the bassinet beside your bed. No need for one of those expensive, frilly bassinets that only get used for a month or two… you get one with the purchase of an UPPAbaby Vista Stroller. Once your child grows out of the bassinet, the stand can become a laundry hamper. Genius. This stroller really is the most functional, easy to use, multipurpose stroller you can buy.

So how much does this amazing stroller cost? I know that’s what you’re wanting to know! Is it more expensive than the very first stroller I bought? Yes. Is it LESS expensive than the ever so popular Bugaboo or Orbit? Yes! Even better because the UPPA knocks the functionality of the Bugaboo and Orbit out of the park! What I really want to stress to families is… don’t skimp on a stroller. Its one thing that you will take with you everywhere, and quality makes a huge difference. Save yourself the money and buy the good stuff first so you don’t have to replace the not so good stuff 4 or 5 times like I did!! I could’ve saved myself 4 extra strollers, and a little over $1000 if I would’ve known better.
So that’s my spill. Feel free to ask my questions or give your opinions!
