Addy loves to play the computer. I want to let her, but my only problem is Dora. Addy loves Dora, I do not… but that’s kind of a different story. Maybe someday soon I’ll devote an entire post about why I dislike Dora so much! But anyway, Zoodles! I don’t even know how I came across it, but one day I discovered Zoodles.com. It is like a one stop site of every preschool game, book, or activity on the web. The greatest thing – I can have complete control over what content I want to block. Can you guess which character I blocked first?!! That alone sold me. Even better… it comes as an app on your iPhone or iPad. So anytime Addy is playing on my phone, my husband’s phone, the iPad, any computer I’ve downloaded the software to… she gets to play on HER Zoodles account. Awesome!
What’s even more amazing – I get weekly emails updating me on everything she has done that week. I received this email yesterday…

I smile every week at her drawings. I knew she was getting better at drawing, but when I sign in to her Zoodles account, I can actually compare week to week. Her little people have seriously improved!!
Addy’s graphs look really different most weeks. This past week, she only spent her Zoodles time on our phones or iPad – neither of those have Flash player, so it limits what she can actually do. Here’s a weekly update when she actually spent time on the computer…

So anyway… lots of parents don’t care about all this stuff. I understand that. But this Early Childhood Certified Teacher who is now a stay at home mom really enjoys seeing what my baby is learning. She is a genius after all.
