We were almost the only ones at the Dallas Zoo yesterday morning. Apparently the birds hadn’t been fed yet, because when we entered the aviary, you would’ve thought we yelled “breakfast!!” I’m not exaggerating when I say they went crazy. Addy and her bff loved it, Ayla loved it as long as they weren’t on her head or digging their little claws on her bare arms, and my friend and I could not quit laughing. I think I will always go straight to those birds when I first get to the zoo. It was seriously the funniest thing ever. I’m still laughing at Ayla’s reactions below. So so thankful I had my camera ready!!
I’m also thankful my friend took some pictures of us with my iPhone. This one was by far the least embarrassing for me. I didn’t want to scream and freak out the birds, and I couldn’t watch them flying at me either. When I wasn’t holding Ayla, I was crouched over trying to get away from them!!!
Add birds to my list of things that freak me out.
